This is intended to be used as part of going to sleep, so the use of a stereo speaker pillow is highly recommended. 

Usually, when we lie awake at night rather than going to sleep, it's because we're anxious, or perhaps excited about something that is going on in our lives.  As a result we don't sleep because we have thoughts, 'racing around our heads'.  We tend to feel the need to constantly think through scenarios, ideas or emotions.  Interestingly, when we spend time thinking, instead of going to sleep we very rarely come to a conclusion, whereas when we have gone to sleep our subconscious is much more able to process information and come up with a best approach.  Which is why, of course, when someone has an issue to resolve they will often be told that it's 'best to sleep on it'.

The hypnosis on this recording is designed to calm down the thought process, provide a soothing background for sleep and promote pleasant and constructive dreams.
