Hypnotherapy is...
... the therapeutic application of hypnosis for the treatment of a wide range of somatic, psychological and behavioral issues and may be best though of as the merging of two disciplines, hypnosis and therapy. In part, the skill of a hypnotherapist lies in choosing the right hypnosis technique and the right therapy technique. Hypnotherapy, as with any therapy, is all about change and can be used for correction or enhancement. As hypnosis is a natural state, its use in therapy can bring about a quicker, more effective outcome and it has no harmful side effects.
Research using brain-scanning techniques has shown that, whilst in hypnosis, a person's mind can become very focused. It is this in-born ability to focus the mind that is used by the therapist to help the client to achieve positive results.

Hypnotherapy can be used ....
...to treat a wide range of conditions as well as being used to enhance sporting, academic and other types of performance. Just remember that your sub-conscious mind exerts a powerful influence over your emotional and physical states!
These are just some of the applications:
Stress/Anxiety Management - in today's high pressure life, it is not uncommon for the adverse reaction of stress to occur. As well as being at the root of a number of other conditions, stress itself can be a killer.
Habit Breaking - smoking, nail biting etc.
Tinnitus Management - a naturally occuring internal noise that the brain can 'lock' onto, sometimes becoming highly distressing.
Fears and Phobias - e.g. spiders, flying, open spaces etc.
Weight Control/Healthy Eating - this can be a constant battle because your sub-conscious may not be in tune with what you want to achieve. Hypnosis can turn the power of your mind to work for you, rather than against you.
Pain Management - including headaches, migraine.
Performance & Confidence - such as public speaking, sports, exam performance, or simply needing to become more assertive in your daily life.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome - a common ailment that is often unmoved by conventional approaches.
Skin Conditions and Allergies - your skin is often said to be a mirror image of your emotional state. Have you got the reflection you want to see?
